Nisana she/her
Hello everyone! I'm a Brandon Sanderson's fan from Italy (hope my english is not so bad!). I love all of his books, above all Stormlight Archive. Till now, I've read all Mistborn books, Elantris, Warbreaker (this I really love!), The Emperor's Soul and Steelheart; now, I've started The Rithmatist, but I'm more interested in the Cosmere Books ( I found your site while searching infos about Adonalsium...) I've read some of your hypothesis on the Comer word and I find them very very interesting!

Topomouse he/him
Welcome! Get an upvote from a fellow Italian! The Cosmere is awesome in itself, but Rithmatist is probably my favourite among Sanderson's book, I think you will enjoy it. I'm a bit curious, did you read the book translated or in english?
Fatebreaker he/him
Welcome to the Madness. Have an upvote and a Cookie. Nisana she/her
What's your favorite magic system? Well, it's difficult to say: the Mistborn one is (IMHO) more complex, but actually we have more books! I like the Elantris one (I've to reread it, but in such a way it recall me of the Death Gate cycle: it's a stupid thing?). As for the Stormlight, I still have to understand how it works: there are influences from spren to humans that I really do not yet understand. I'm very curious about it.

Thank you, I've just started it, but I will let you know. Well, I started reading in italian the first Mistborn book, but I couldn't wait for the italian translation of the end of the trilogy, so I read the other two in English. Elantris and Steelheart in italian, the Way of Kings in italian, but Words of Radiance in English (I could wait!). The Rithmatist hasn't been published yet in italian, so it's English (that's way it's taking me a lot of time to read it), and The Emperor's Soul too (but it's not so long!). It depends on how much I want to read the book: I admit that I will wait for Firefight italian translation (I'm not really a fan of this series).

Shlee
I can see some parallels between Elantris and Death Gate Cycle, I don't think that's stupid. I'm not sure any of us completely understand the magic system in Stormlight yet. I'm curious to see if it does turn out to be more complex than the one in Mistborn (which took me a while to grasp!) I am now drafting you as my friend, because you are someone else who really, really likes Warbreaker. (Though I will admit, I'm seeing a lot more fans of that book lately. When I joined up, Warbreaker seemed to be the Brandon novel everyone overlooked, because it wasn't his epic (Stormlight), his debut (Elantris) or his most well known (Mistborn). It's gratifying to see it get a wider audience) But...anyhow. Welcome!

It feels like it is one of his earlier works. Above all, it feels like Elantris. I didn't particularly care for that book so when the same feeling of it was copied into Warbreaker it was just whatever. I'm sorry that more people don't agree with you man, but that's why I think it's overlooked.

I'm sorry that more people don't agree with you man, but that's why I think it's overlooked. I'm going to disagree with you here. I got totally different feelings from the two books, and was easily able to guess Elantris came out years and novels before Warbreaker without looking it up. His writing style in Warbreaker is so much more matured, and he engrossed me in his story, even when nothing really happened. Warbreaker blew me away, and Elantris, by comparison, made my jacket flap. But that's better than the Mistborn trilogy, which merely toussled my hair.
Voidus
<Enjoys Elantris, Mistborn and Warbreaker equally, though for different reasons. Of the three I still actually put Warbreaker last although that's possibly just because it's been a while since I last read it.

Death Gate, so many memories... It was one of the first big fantasy I read and i still love it. Thank you, I've just started it, but I will let you know. Once I made the switch I could never go back: you get to have the books without waiting 6 extra months and you are safe from the terrible translator used in our contry. Among the Cosmere novels Warbraker is my favourite and I can't wait to read Nightblood.
