Eric Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 It could be that Preservation incapable of ignoring the now for the future. That would seem to not preserve anything. Maybe he was compelled to thwart even his own long term plans to preserve things in the here and now, which would make his giving up his mind to bind Ruin not only unexpected, but the only way he could both Preserve and put his plan into motion by keeping his cognitive aspect from interfering. That must have sucked.
Vortaan he/him Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 Where does Ruin preserve anything? Hemalurgy destroys individuals to grant more power to another individual. I can't recall Ruin saving anyone that didn't stem from someone else's untimely death (and generally lead to MORE untimely death down the road)
