Oh just on a completely non-RP related topic (Like 90% of what we discuss :P):

Mrs. Voidus has been working on writing an Epic fantasy too and I told her about Seonids idea of making an RP in the world of the series and she really liked it so hopefully we might start something like that if there's interest and time (I know a lot of us are already in numerous RPs)

So the setting is that theres a world with 3 continents which are separated from each other and there are hundreds of tribal communities on each continent. Each tribe worships their own god and their god grants magic abilities related to their divinity to the tribe that worships them. The world is in a constant state of war as each tribe tries to show their supremacy over the others. Players could control either individuals within a tribe or could RP as a tribes leader and so dictate the entire tribes actions.
If there's enough interest Mrs. Voidus should be able to post more worldbuilding.

Funtimes put him there so the dinosaurs wouldn't get him.

Right... I suppose I can get him out of there after the situation with Fade is dealt with (are you going next Fatebreaker?) Maybe write some Autumn until then?

I would probably need a bit more info for a decision but color me interested.

I'll try and get something for Autumn written tonight, if not then tomorrow for sure. I'm starting my library internship today. And yes, I plan to ask about the Smedrys and see how many others are secretly Free Kingdom sympathizers.

<Is absolutely jealous of you both getting a job and having that job in a library. But then again you gave the world Funtimes so all is forgiven :P

I'd completely forgotten about those til you posted them again, that was fun I'd love to try something like that again.

For example: How would one of your Epics react to waiting in line for an hour to see a midnight screening of the final Harry Potter movie only to discover that all seats were now taken?

Lightwards isn't into Harry Potter, but if he just had to see it, he'd have his raptors start slowly dismembering theatergoers until all the seats were vacated. He'd then use his newly resurrected Warriors to fetch him constant supplies of popcorn and Raisinets from the lobby.

Chicago Joe would grumble in discontentment before settling outside with a bottle of whiskey.

Aldo would pull out a tiny chainsaw and engorge it to an almost comically large size and start slicing through theatergoers until everyone had evacuated.

Glamour would pirate the movie's soundtrack online and pretend to have seen it, playing the music around other people to taunt them for not being able to catch the movie.

Backtrack would just catch an earlier showing in an empty theater. He'd invite MV to come see it with him, largely because she'd be compelled to hold his hand the entire time if she wanted to see the film.

Count me interested. :) What kind of magical abilities do the gods grant?

Cool. Sam's my main focus right now, but I'll try to get a Backtrack post up soon.

And congratulations on your internship with the secret rulers of the world. :):P

Raisinets? Wow, I had no idea just how much Lightwards has been corrupted by Calamity.

It would be largely up to the players to choose something appropriate I think, only 9 of the tribes survive the global war, banding into three alliances, one on each continent. So they're pretty well defined in magic but the others haven't really been defined at all. It's mostly elemental stuff that's planned so far but I think it's pretty open to whatever. I'll get Mrs. Voidus to post some more info in the morning, unlike me she's not accustomed to staying up til 5am talking to you guys :P

What power scale are we talking about? Boiling water, throwing fireballs or Oblieration?

I think it's a sliding scale, though nothing on Obliterations level. Fireballs would be perfectly reasonable though.

I'll be able to post this afternoon, but I've got work in a few minutes. So hasta luego!

Talking about that. I´ve been thinking about Lucentia butting in to explain project Amber (which I realize might be easier to pull of now), partly because it´s in character, partly I fear I might get out of practice with her and partly to move the plot along. Any objections?

I wouldn't mind. It'd irritate Lightwards, but the pair of them bickering after the meeting's over will be entertaining enough on its own merit. :P

I'd join this. Though If I did I'd be dropping out of Tamriel for good. Not that that matters. It's pretty much Dead.

And to think; with more ponies, Tamriel might have been saved.

Using an RP to flesh out a setting seems to be working brilliantly for Seonid, so I bet it'll help Mrs. Voidus out a lot as well. For that matter just reading the questions people ask Seonid has helped me with my setting to a more limited extent.

Ponies, the source of all live. :P

Even better, look at all the rich backstory that Brandon fellow got out of this. ;)

I´m not sure if it´s something to be proud of but I think still got a decent grip on writting Lucentia.

We wouldn't have gotten nearly as far as we have without the magic of friendship.

Now I'm imagining a forum RP hosted by Brandon Sanderson. I wouldn't even care if he railroaded the players, I'd sign up in a heartbeat. :D:P

Yep, you've still got her down pat. I want to leave her stranded on an ice floe in the middle of the Arctic ocean, same as always. :P

Yes, the power of friendship, like the one shared between Nighthound and Koschei. ...or better yet Dio and Pucci.

He did and calls the players Beta Readers. :P

Victory fo me then... kinda... so who´s going next.

That would be me, I believe. Sam's going to be working very hard in the next post to make Altermind want to murder her. :P

Yep. I still hate her, so...and then Lucentia died. :P

On a break right now. I'll tell you about the incriminating thing I found, but for now I have another prompt for you all. Minor Firefight spoilers.

It has been confirmed that pre-Calamity Steelheart was a high school bully. Write a scene or series of scenes where your character of choice is a high school freshman who recently transferred to Paul Jackson's school. How would he or she handle getting on his bad side--before he had powers?

How many Epics that want to murder her do we have now? :P

With he do you mean Steelheart or our characters and does before they got powers also include their old personalities?

Not enough. :P

Everyone is pre-Calamity, so include their old personalities.

Sam plays life on Hard Mode. She won't rest until every superpowered slontze in the Fractured States personally wants her head. :P

Hmm... I've never been to high school and don't know much about the bullies that prowl them, but I'll do my best.

Let us all hope that it never comes to the point where Funtimes lets her go and Sam doesn´t realize that without her protection she would be dead thrice over in an instant.

I never really meet any bullies either, maybe it´s an american thing? Anyway, I´ll write something up.

To be fair to Sam, she's usually not as bold when she doesn't have Epic protection. Her snark was limited to graffiti making fun of Headshot and a series of faux campaign posters anonymously hung up around town, asking people to vote for "Butterfingers" Quickslide. :P
