Rules for sharing

What are the rules for sharing ideas on this forum? I want feedback without fear of plagarism. I am new to the Creator's Corner, so maybe my trust factor is a little low. Thanks!

In the nicest way possible: this is the Internet. A wonderful, polite corner of the internet, but the Internet just the same. Google searches it. People who are not members and not subject to admins authority can read it. Post ideas by all means, but be aware that you're potentially sharing it with the universe.

That being said, people share ideas all the time and I've yet to hear of someone else taking the ideas and running off with them. If you're worried don't be specific, but also no one else is going to write your story the way you are going to, it's impossible.

So.....welcome. Just use your judgement.

Honestly, does this ever actually happen? I mean, I've shared my writing on forums numerous times and have never had anyone take my idea. Maybe they weren't/aren't good ideas, but even then, I know several other people who've never had a problem. 

 

That being said, if I shared my writing here, would it be against any rules?

As long as it's clean content (no sex, gore, etc) it's perfectly fine! If you're writing more mature fiction, though, you should probably ask an admin first.
