These are true facts.  It's hard to know exactly where it falls on the scale of usefulness vs. energy spent without actually having Coinshots, Lurchers, and Steelrunners to use as guinea pigs test with.  I could see a Compounder doing it, though, because why not?  Heck, I could see a double steel Twinborn charging every bit of steel in their possession, just because they can.

Is it steel?  --> yes

Can I eat it?  --> no

Charge it!

Steel Compounder in plate armor! :D

Man, that stuff is *heavy* - it doesn't lend itself well to swift movement.

Which would make it all the more surprising for your enemies!

I've heard the whole "invested metal is harder to push/pull" on the forums before...but you could have fooled me.  I would think that shard plate or shard blade must be much more invested that a simple metal mind that is filled to the brim.  Several people have already pointed out that Wax frequently pushes on Wayne's metal mind bracers.  There is also the instance of Marsh pushing a bag of rings that are (I think) completely full of Sazed attributes.  I think that if you are a feruchemist...piercings have to be the way to go.

They aren't completely full; they only have a few minutes worth of each attribute. In fact he runs out of most of them by the time their brief battle is over.

Still, it's worth noting that Marsh is surprised that they're metalminds at all. He apparently does not feel enough resistance from them to notice at all.

Or, if you can afford it, aluminum-lined leather bracers to cover your larger metalminds.
