Shallan's mother...? [WaT spoilers]

I'm currently reading WaT, just after they confirm that Shallan's mother is Chana the herald. If I'm not mistaken, the herald whose death is sensed by the Stormfather in the prologue is Chana herself, after being murdered by Shallan. Thus, this means that both Chana and Gavilar died the exact same day, right? Is there any foreshadowing of this fact in previous books? I had the feeling that the death of Shallan's mother had been years before that...

Yes, Gavilar and Chana died on the same night. Just looking at the flashback in WoR, we see that Gavilar's assassination happened 6 years before the book events (prologue) and Chana's death was also 6 years before (ch 10). So since WoR we knew that at the very least they died during the same year. There was enough foreshadowing scattered throughout the books that the theory about Chana being Shallan's mother appeared years before the release of WaT, and even before RoW.
