World Trigger

My favorite show, possibly favorite piece of media of all time, World Trigger is an anime that's incredible but has a pretty small fandom due to, not to put to fine a point on it, being bad for the first dozen episodes. However it gets solid... then good... then remarkable... then absolutely stunning. The whole thing is one continuous increase in quality. Seasons two and three in particular.

It's strongest points are the incredible battles (seriously, nothing else even comes close, particularly in the tactics department), the well-built and hard power system (which I think gives it overlap with what's best about Sanderson), and the side characters. Every one feels competent and individual, presenting serious threats and with good backstories. They shine so bright at times you might even forget someone else is the main character. (If anyone new to it would be so kind as to watch episodes 44-46 and tell me who they think it is, I believe that would be proven). Yet characters being in the spotlight doesn't diminish any of the others.

So, at the conclusion of my rambling, I have come to ask if anybody on the Shard has seen this show. If you haven't, I can't recommend it enough.

Ah, I feel targeted. Dropped this show on like episode 10 or something because I'd spent 5 or so episodes watching chunks of 25 minutes being spent on like 5 minutes of progress. I like slow stories mind you but this was more like a fast-paced story being told reeeeal slow for no apparent reason. Also abnormally long still shots. I guess I'll give it another go sometime.
