Jult Posted Thursday at 08:02 PM Posted Thursday at 08:02 PM So, there isn't a ton of news related to settings outside of Roshar and Scadrial. Last I heard, Elantris and 'Worldhopping' content was in the early-stage "brainstorming" phase of development. And Warbreaker development was planned to start after that but hadn't really kicked off yet. If anyone's heard anything more than that, I'd love to hear it. But I doubt there's more. So, instead, I'd like to speculate a bit. I find it very interesting that Sel and Nalthis sound like they're getting their own books. It makes me wonder what the actual scope of these books will include. For example, I think Elantrians and AonDor in the Sel Sourcebooks would be a given. But that's not the only Invested Art on Sel. In order of my personal opinion on likelihood, there's also: Forgery Dakhor ChayShan Bloodsealing Hrovell's weird potion magic We know very little about the majority of the mechanics behind these magics. Seeing them included would be huge even for people who don't intend to play. I'm also curious about the scope of what they called 'Worldhopping Content'. Will that just be "all planets that aren't Roshar, Scadrial, Nalthis, and Sel"? Or will it specifically be about people from Silverlight and other Worldhopper locations? Obviously, I don't expect anyone here to have all of the answers. But I'd love to hear what people expect/hope to see in each of these upcoming books.
JustQuestin2004 he/him Posted yesterday at 02:39 AM Posted yesterday at 02:39 AM My Elantris Guesses Spoiler -I'm guessing the Culture you pick at the start of character creation will determine what Selish Art you get to pick. I wonder if you picked a place that was between two countries that have a Selish Art, like Arelon and the Fjorden Empire, would it be possible to double up and get both AonDor and Dahkor? -Each stat that each Selish Art is linked to --AonDor: Awareness --Forgery: Intellect --Dahkor: Strength --ChayShan: Willpower --Bloodsealing: Presence -Elantrian might probably be its own Ancestry, due to the sheer change that Elantrians undergo when they get chosen by the Shao. My Warbreaker Guesses Spoiler -Returned will be its own Ancestry. -Awakening might be linked to Presence. -Gaining Biochromatic Breaths doesn't increase your Investiture Stat, rather it has its own 'Charge System' like Feruchemy seems to. -It will probably be much easier for PC's to gather Breath than it realistically should. That or they'll need to delve further into the ways to make Awakening more efficient like with adding hair, making the object a human shape, etc. -Drabs might have its own Skill Tree if you choose to go that route? -Awakened Swords as rewards, only they have to be like Azure's and never like Nightblood? A Tier 3 reward? My Worldhopper Guesses Spoiler -New Ancestries: Dragon? A young one like Starling at least. Maybe True Vaxilian? -No travelling to Yolen for PC's. -Eidolith's don't become Bosses, they become environmental scenario threats that you need to avoid at all costs. -Limited Access to other Invested Arts from other worlds, but you can't start with them. Maybe you'll have to gain them through rewards like Hemlalurgic Spikes for Metallic Arts, Spren if taking place after WaT, Breath if you're able to find someone who has a bunch and is willing to trade. -A few Scenarios about exploring worlds that are unseen in the books, like maybe Obrodai, or one of the many others that have been spoken of. 1

Seems obvious now that you've said it though. I agree that Breaths probably will have their own charge system. I do wonder how acquiring more Breaths will work. Even if they do make them relatively easy to acquire, you need quite a lot of them. I doubt Drabs will have their own skill tree. Mainly because I can't think of any special skills that a drab has. There's always the Heroic paths for un-Invested characters. 12 hours ago, JustQuestin2004 said: My Worldhopper Guesses I like this. I wondered if they planned to include some of the less complex planets in this one. Like I can't see Canticle, Komashi, or Threnody needing a dedicated book because their magic systems are just less diverse than other planets. Or maybe they will get their own books, but they'll just be smaller.
