Can you convert lights and metals?

I just finished up Wind and Truth after reading Mistborn, and I read it as the god metals being equivalent to the lights, and so would it be possible to turn a metal like Atium or Lerasium into a light, or could you turn stormlight into Tanavastium? If you could, whould it function the same?

Well, considering that we already knew from Era 1 that the Mist was Lerasium in investiture Gaseous form - We also know since WoK that a Shardblade first appears as Gaseous Stormlight then undergoes Deposition to for the Shardblade. I would say that they do convert, we just do not yet know how a person can instigate the sublimation/deposition of PR Gaseous investiture from/to PR Solid investiture.
