We are poets

and we know its

some of us can sing a song

some of us just get along

some of us post in blogs

some of us have a threads in logs

I'm bad at rhyming

I've been told it's all about timing

But hey least

I can welcome man and beast

I'm @Coder, and here it invite

My goods friends, who are no blight

Welcome @Usseewa,

Who's poems scram ta ta

Welcome @Kansas,

Who's songs aren't the blandest

Welcome @Vie,

Who's talents are greater than three

Welcome @Ketek,

He's cool, you can check

This is my song

So please, poem along

And even if I didn't say

Cmon in and make our day!

I am a poet—

I consider myself so,

though if I am one,

I don't always know.

My poems are strange;

Odd and deranged—

Like me,

Like you?

You even got my name,

That of the dame,

Not the meme—

The inverting beam.

This thread is new,

So obviously true that

I had no need it say it,

But I did, why?

I cannot sing but

At least I can think some-

Times, 'cept when I can't, then

I shut down, stop my strut.

Thank you, Coder, for

Creating this thread—

For ceasing the war

Going through my head.

Fellow batch of poets, I hear you say?

To me, this likely meeting should be a grand ole' day

The combinations, blending art-

Writing words straight from the heart

Quote

<grins>

That's from straightened words, written art- blended, combined. The days old, grand a' being- Shall meetings like these, mine to say, you hearing my poems, of batches fellow.

Should I put some of my previous keteks here (The great ones)

I tried to write something fun for this thread

But I'm exhausted so it's rhyming sentences instead

At least it's not half-rhyme; Hoid would be pleased:

See Chapter Ten, Tress of the Emerald Sea
