hELLO FACtor!

good, me too. I was worried it'd be red for some people.

do you read outside of cosmere and

what are you interested in pursuing in college, if you go to college, or if you're already there. Feel free to not answer.

And do you write poetry

maybe should go in your AMA but I'm too lazy and plus others can answer too

Well, so is this text.

Lots of "black" in UI design is just dark grey. It'd be accepted by Lego Batman, tho, for being very very very dark grey.

Yes… Alcatraz was the first Sanderson series I read, and Skyward prob remains my favorite YA series, for all its strangeness. I read reckoners and rithmatist and whatnot, they were okay. Didn’t really like them. And directly disliked most of Tailored Realities.

mmmmmmm

I will say that my age is rather far from college

or well, I probably should be thinking about college, but I have enough to worry about… not sure…

I have occasionally. Not much of a poet. Note that half the time I try to express my feelings, I wright *insert positive reaction here*

Same! I read Alcatraz first, then Skyward

ive been interested in reading non-cosmere sanderson, like skyward or rithmatist or whatever.

mmmmm lieeeess

i will say that my age is... something

eh, I mainly meant like what's your interest(s), since that might become what you major in.

fair, sometimes it's hard to word.

i got a crapton of books yesterday and today and im gonna read them

hopefully

im excited and not at the same time

most are old as the stars

meaning from the 1800/1900s 💀

classics

i also got this newer (i didn't check the year) book which is basically a bunch of poems by this girl/woman about a breakup or something and how much she misses him and stuff and it's kinda sad idk but i already read a bunch of them

Oooh!

Yah I did it and secured Brandon the top spot of favorite author (and constantly reserved spot of 2nd favorite series) for like… 4-5 years I think. Then I finally got around to asking for more of his books last December. I thought from ordering on Amazon that since Stormlight seemed to be second on all the Sanderson recommendations (after Mistborn) it would be easier to read… it wasn’t…

*sighs*

After I finished Skyward, I took a break for a few years,  and read my firdt Cosmere book, Mistborn, in June of 2025. As of late March/early April, I have finished the entire Cosmere. My reading order was somewhere on this thread.

Did I mention that today, this thread is two months old? 🎉

Yeah, they’re pretty good. Alcatraz is very… witty. It also seems to be trying to purposely annoy you, but it’s funny. You also wonder if every sentence is. (It’s not, only 74% of them). Rithmatist feels like a nice, normal book. And Skyward… it feels like it’s genuinely trying to teach you to fly a ship, then you realize those were actual plot points. Kind of weird sometimes. Then every book feels VERY different. To lighten things, there is DOOMSLUG

Ooh

My interests are… complicated. Most are played up because I want to have something in common with people. Even media-type things, the only originals are Sanderson (not so unique here…) and, inexplicably, My Little Pony. Don‘t ask.
And major-type things… I don’t know. That is very intimidating.

Ooh classics

I have an inability to read classics. I just… bounce off them all. *shrugs*

Huh, interesting.

Oh yeah I vaguely remember that…

I’m reading Wheel of Time right now. At first I thought consistently knowing what book I would read next would be nice, but I’m on book 5 and losing interest, honestly.

Oh yeah! YAAAY *tosses many 🎉 *

cool, witty is good... when done right. There's a specific type of "witty" that makes me cringe and want to vomit, and seriously negitvely impacts my opinion of whatever it is (book, movie, etc.) You saying doomslug makes me... jealous, or sad, or both. I won't explain why :3

O M G yessss. I think I definitely do that (trying to have things in common), or at least used to or do differently idk. But like I do things that "everyone does," *sometimes,* other times I just learn about it. But, like 6 7 is kinda a thing you can just do with nearly everyone these days, not just kids/teens/young-adults. Then there's just references/pop-culture, and popular memes and such. It's like... an asset/library pack, or arsenal, or whatever you wanna call it. A bunch of references most/many people understand that you can use to communicate and relate and share a laugh. I actually put off watching K-Pop Demon Hunters until, like, last week. It was actually really good lol, but I didn't watch it even though I knew about it probably pretty early, and knew it was "the thing." So it depends. I've watched all of MLP, just not in a while. But, things like Gravity Falls? I watched it maybe a year ago and I didn't know everyone knew about it. I haven't seen Digital Circus yet, but that's something everyone seems to know, too. It's funny, the things that become popular. It's not all these hollywood/MCU stuff, lol. If ya know what I mean.

As for classics... I've known about many for a while, but mostly by name or maybe a little about them. I've never read any, but have some now. Mostly philosophy though lol. Though I do have an Oscar Wilde one, which is probably a "regular" classic.

My souls are mildly happy on Tuesdays. Because that means the weekly update is today for me. Yes, I take things too seriously. But might as well do that with one of my only original interests… and hey, you’re in the Shard, right?
