Through the Living Hope Posted March 11 Posted March 11 Wanted to make this to talk about motifs and lyrics that appear at different times, there’s a few I’ve thought of so far The “Peneelopeeee” riff sounds like Married Life from Up In Remember Them, two of Ody’s lines in the final verse are “Remember me” and “I am your darkest moment”. Poseidon echoes this in the end of Ruthlessness In Luck Runs Out and Mutiny, the different times they say “please don’t tell me you’re about to do what I think you’ll do” The harp/lyre at the start of “Puppeteer” follows the melody of “cause I’m stuck with your stories but no clue who you are/ and no idea if you’re dead or just too far” Hephaestus’ “trust is not given its forged” has the same melody as “there is no price we won’t pay / give up your honor and faith” etc. from Scylla 5

Through The Living Ash he/him Posted March 11 Posted March 11 In Mutiny, the lines “this statue, the god of the sun. Don’t know where it’s from, but here’s where we found all these cows to hunt. Right in front. And hunger is so heavy (hunger is so heavy)” is the same tune as Zeus from the first song: “A mission to kill someone’s son, a foe who won’t run, unlike anyone you have faced before. Say no more. I know that I’m ready. I don’t think you’re ready.” 2

clowncarcrash Posted March 12 Posted March 12 The craziest thing about Epic, is there is a common motif throughout the songs is a riff from a cut song called "man of the house". You can find it on tiktok. Like imagine Epic, with all the "just a man" motifs, but if it didnt include the "just a man" song. 2
Keke They/he Posted March 17 Posted March 17 Okay so what I love is that jay will have intros for all characters. Or some. Like athena and hers. Telemachus has his Odysseus has his guitar then his angry guitar. Oooho I love all the reoccuring elements itmakes me haoopypypyy 3
Use the Falchion Posted March 17 Posted March 17 "Hold Them Down" has Penelope's viola during...that part. As if she's reacting to the horror. You can also hear Odysseus join in the final rousing moment of the song, the "here and now" parts. Obviously, we have the "Different Beast" echoes in the second half of "600 Strike," right before the best part of the song. Poseidon also calls Ody a "monster" to the same rhythm that the chorus echoes "monster" in "Monster." 2
Through the Living Hope Posted March 19 Author Posted March 19 If I had a nickel for every time a song from Epic had the same name as a song by Skillet Id have two nickels Which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice, right? (Legendary and Monster)
Through the Living Hope Posted March 25 Author Posted March 25 “If you’re looking for a mentor, I’ll make sure your times well spent” ”You’re not looking for a mentor, I’m not looking for a friend” 2
