NovaRay He/him Posted January 16 Posted January 16 I noticed there wasn’t any SCP threads so I decided to create one. What’s your favorite SCP mine is 2521 since it feels quite unique. 1
Hmmm lies she/her Posted January 16 Posted January 16 I love SCP articles that have a big twist, or subvert conventions. I also like ones that don't explicitly tell you what the horror is, but just implies it. Ones that are really mind screwy I don't usually like because I can't even understand them, but at times I like the, Some of my favorites include (I like to highlight lesser known ones, although I remember the ones I read more recently) SCP-1933-ex SCP-3041 captain-kirby-s-proposal SCP-INTEGER SCP-9998 SCP-9995 https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-9995 mcdoctorate-s-proposal
CoderDrag0n8 He/Him Posted January 16 Posted January 16 One of my core memories is reading I think one of the SCP-1s... It was the one where death is just permanent stasis of infinite pain. That one genuinely broke me... 1

It was the one where death is just permanent stasis of infinite pain. That one genuinely broke me... That was actually SCP-2718, not an SCP-001. And I have mixed feelings on it. On one hand, I love the concept, it's incredibly horrifying, and I can see why it's one that has traumatized people, but on the other hand, I don't like the presentation. Some of my issues include The weird ambiguity on if it's a cognitohazard or not. O5-1 claims it is, but O5-11 doesn't think so. The unnecessarily dramatic dialogue by the O5 council (I rarely like O5 dialogue, because it feels too informal, but especially here. The choice to bring SCP-105 into it, instead of any other anomaly which could much more feasibly give O5-11 immortality Despite all of this, I still like it due to its concept, and I like O5-11's reaction to it, for the most part. I also like what some later SCPs and tales have done with it (namely the End of Death canon) For a similar SCP, that I think is better written, there's also SCP-7179

(I'm sure I'll get ninja'd for this, but whatever) (Edit: No, I didn't) The SCP-wiki is an online writing community that focuses on horror, centering around a fictional organization called the SCP Foundation, which contains 'anomalies,' stuff that should not exist, and tries to protect the outside world from them, and keeps them a secret. Stories are written in the format of in-universe documents of the Foundation, about specific anomalies. 2 minutes ago, Theory said: I think it's from some horror game idk. It is mostly horror, but not all of it. Sometimes it's just weird stuff, like SCP-055, an object which it is impossible to remember anything about.
Hmmm lies she/her Posted January 16 Posted January 16 This thread got me inspired to keep working on my SCP draft I've been writing.
