So we're back to an RP full of ponies and one creepy guy with spikes coming out of his eyes.

Yo!

You're forgettin' one Mask, who has never conformed to the ponification movement. Kinda proud of that actually.

Plannin' on doing a Prankster post sometime soon. It'll be his perspective of the Panda Siege. Hilarity may ensue.

Wait... is that a chibified Voidgaze as your avatar?

Yes, that is a chibified Voidgaze as my avatar. :P I tried out the chibi generator linked in the SA chibi work in the Gallery and here she is. Working with it is kind of weird. Different from the pony creator the chibies are human making the expactations to get it right higher, which is kind of impossible. Voidgaze came out pretty well, although she´s missing her usual cloak, one of Nighthound that I´m sastisfied with, another one for Ray that is servable but I´m not fond of it and I just gave up on one for Shiny Sparkle.

Not sure how long I´ll stick with the chibi.

He wasn't made for that role. He's just a character I made for fun.

My mistake then. Just assumed so because Twi pitched an Illusionist as a solution and Kobold came up with the name. I supposse your your excitement was only about the name. Does that mean we are back to not doing anything about the whole communication deal?

I'm hoping to get a post up today too. It should be a good one. Too bad I missed the boat on getting the first dragon in there...

I've been wondering if there's any sort of theoretical technology that might allow a statue to travel at speeds comparable to an actual Weeping Angel.

I've been wondering what would happen if Backtrack viewed a Weeping Angel in the past.

Don't forget the wolf. I'm still here, even if I changed my name.

Don´t worry my canine friend, you are stll in our hearts.

If it makes you happy, Chimera´s dragon is tecnically not a dragon but a chimera created out of multiple animals that just happens to resemble a dragon. So you can have the first real imaginary dragon that is only made up. :P

Feel free to RAFO this or something but could it be that Ari is using some kind of mind control/manipulation on Arvin?

Weeping Angels work by quantum mechanics, so as long as they get perceived, even if it is indirectly, they should freeze, naturally in Doctor Who time is kind of whimey, so that helps.

Definitely RAFO on that one.

We'll put it this way, though. Arvin is currently immune to Pandafication because an Epic whose power is imagination is imagining him very strongly as her daddy. And her daddy isn't a Panda.

That's...that's actually kind of sweet.

Depends, the pandafication immunity is but the comment about it is also what made me realize that Arvin instantly getting protective of Ari might not be ordinary fast emotional attachment but may be the result of Ari thinking of him as her father and her father loves her, forcing him to love her.

Which is disturbing, but unless Ari is either a shape shifting adult disguised as a child or faking the whole innocent thing (which I'm not dismissing as valid possibilities) then it shows Ari wants a daddy badly enough that she's willing to see a vanilla in that light. The control part is still morally reprehensible, but the basic desire is not. Especially since she could have imagined him as her dog or her slave, which is what most a Epics would have done.

Who knows, maybe he is only a figment of her imgination in the first place. Thing with her is, as far as we can tell she does not refer to herself by an epic name, nor did she use her powers, which can apparently make dragons appear, to break out of her cell, yet someone decided to put her into prision with an epic guard in the first place, so currentlly the girl is raising a lot of questions for me, also if your honest, how many Epics subvert the whole "thinks of Vanillas as lesser beings" in this RP? Certainly enough that it isnt really noteworthy anymore.

As Edgedancer says, Chi's isn't a real dragon. :P

What change? The Ookla's?

Those are for Peter's birthday.

Official announcement that I am leaving soon and so won't be on much, if at all, until Sunday or Monday.

True, but the signs seem to point to Ari being more innocent than hellspawn. And unless I'm missing someone, the only major Epics who don't think of vanillas as lesser beings are Purple Phoenix, Funtimes, and perhaps Fade, Sandman, and Saccharine to a degree. Others like Aldo and Backtrack treat vanillas with some measure of decency, but still look down on them. I'd say an Epic open to a familial bond with a vanilla is still noteworthy, and may also hint at some trauma in her recent past.

No mention of Voidgaze? Panacea didn´t seem to view Vanillas as any worse, Strongstell, while I´m not sure if it ever came up in viewpoint is at least trying to emulate Panacea, so that´s something, I think Leech was mentioned as carring about his protegees, Sightline cares enough about Vanillas to not simply kill Altermind´s guards, Mailliw stated that Flashpoint is at least sympathetic with Vanillas, both Guardian and Ranger (although Guardian more so) didn´t seem all that above Vanillas either and Mommy at least cares about her children from what we have seen. There are probably some Dalles Epics that count as well. Sure, most of them aren´t exactly saints concerning their treatment of Vanillas but enough that it isn´t a hard line anymore. Plus, given that she has no idea who Arvin is/was her imagination was superficiant at best and she probably just latched on to the first guy that didn´t participate into chaining her up (and not immune to her powers in case she is manipulating him).

Mommy really only cares about children. If I had actually done the viewpoint inside the house where she drops off two kids, you would've seen that the family really didn't want the kids, but Mommy forced them to have the kids anyway.

*shrugs shoulders* Enough of a precedent, when talking about an Epic that is only shown to care for a single person until now. by the way, you are the change. :P

I protest the change by changing in a different way  ;)  :P

I had literally just remembered when I saw this post. *facepalm* I didn't mention Leech because he was, so far as I could tell, fairly minor. Pan and Strongsteel do try, but Pan's lack of dismissive attitude is more motivated by fear of being like Koschei than by genuine love. Worlds better than Nighthound, but still. I can't speak for newer Epics like Scribbler, and Ari is still enough of an enigma that I know I'll probably be wrong on some points, but the facts remain that 1. she is an Epic and hasn't become completely power drunk, 2. she is a child who was chained up and apparently mistreated, and 3. Arvin was kind to her. Those facts seem to point to trauma to me.

Would it help you if I listed all the reasons why Voidgaze might not be a good person? (Granted there aren´t that many but they exsist.)

Being chained up and guarded by Hammer almost definetly counts as trauma, my point was more that the trauma shifts her attachment to Arvin from a personal affectionate one to one that has a more selfish reasoning in wanting protection ect. Not being drunk on power could also originate from a lack of comprehension that she even has powers, afterall she made no attempt to use her powers to escape before Arvin showed up.

At this point she probably doesn´t have a malicious intent but for all we know she might accidently destroy a whole town with a tamper tantrum.

Maybe, but it would mostly cause me to make this face: :( (Just kidding. I know she's flawed, a fact that is showing as Calamity's corruption begins to take hold (:( :( :().

All of which is true. Still, she could have lashed out at him, or gone the "I'm going to imagine him as my personal butler named Jeeves" route.

Again, true. We haven't seen her dark side at work yet, and it could very well be more destructive than Upgraded!Electro.

New chibi, again not perfect, given the creator´s limitation but let´s see if you can regocnize her.attachicon.gifChibi.jpg

She looks ready to complain for hours on end about her chibi form--is she Lucentia?
