Brandon Sanderson

That said, Ruin would have been one of the 'safer' of the sixteen for Rayse to take, if he'd been about that. Odium is by its nature selfish, however, and the combination of it and Rayse makes for an entity that fears an additional power would destroy it and make it into something else.

I think Odium|Rayse are correct, for that matter. Absorbing Ruin would make them into something else, as we saw with both Harmony and Retribution. I think it would be Vengeance, for what that's worth (basically, nothing). Vengeance can be thought of as "destroying that which you hate."

Virtuosity is about art, virtuoso's, not about virtues.

What you really get is the Cosmere's biggest art critic.

Or sadistic torturer, turning suffering into a form of art.

Or (hear me out), Passion, but for real?

Devotion and Odium would form the Shard of Jealousy.

So if you add Whimsy, it's the Joker shard

I think something that might be slightly dysfunctional  could be Valour and Odium. Not necessarily in the sense of "They wouldn't work together", but in the sense that blind hatred can give something similar to hatred. The result (possibly Zealotry?) would likely be near impossible to control.

Invention and Preservation are also two that are quite inherently opposed. Invention is progress, and Preservation wants stasis.

Dang, I guess the girl that said she liked me must've taken up this shard at some point in our relationship.
