Eldergod3 Posted August 11, 2025 Posted August 11, 2025 Do you think that Sigzil and Auxilary took up windrunner oaths? Because I feel like Sunlit Man makes more sense that way? I dont know if Honor's investiture would allow it but the Unoathed show that Highspren can create unorthadox bonds with Humans and Singers.
NerdyAarakocra They/Them Posted August 12, 2025 Posted August 12, 2025 Probably not. Sizgil's experiencing the effects of his broken Nahel bond with his original spren in TSM. Radiant order is a characteristic of the spren. 1

TSM shows that Nomad's armor is made up of Plate Spren for both Windrunners and Skybreakers. We know that his Wind Spren followed him off of Roshar, because they were pointed out in WaT when he was joining the Convoy and met Aux. It is implied that since the Plate Spren bond a Radiant (and follow them) - he kept his bonded WindSpren and gained some LuckSpren from his Skybreaker Oaths - resulting in a mixed set of Shardplate. Spoiler WaT Ch 147: Quote Sigzil considered, rocking in place, numb. “Spren can’t leave Roshar. Why are you here on this caravan?” “Ah, well, you see,” the highspren said—having far more familiar a tone than Sigzil had expected—“I can leave now! Any of us can. There are some in the caravan, even some windspren and other smaller ones. TSM Ch 47: Quote The air broke around him—the fragments of his ancient armor trying to push into reality again. Some from his first oaths, some from his second. Either way, it was the absolute wrong time for them to be doing that. <snip> He grimaced, and Contemplation regarded him, their faces visible by the light of the nearby sunheart. His armor was glowing too, though not in either of its customary shades of blue. Instead it glowed with the light of embers—the sunlight might have damaged it, because little flecks of red-orange light continued to burn all across it—and when he moved, he trailed smoke. Hope that helps 2
