Just starting the story, and I have a feeling I won't like the reveal of how he passed away. 

Just needed to share how sad this made me at the very beginning of the book.

Really did not like the way Kokerlii died, and even less (spoilers):

The implication that the disease was introduced by the Malwish specifically to be able to "help with the cure" and prove the Aviar were not safe in the hands of "savages."
