Bone white trees imply that they either don't have lignin and chlorophyll, or at least for the former, have some sort of extra thing on top. Perhaps their bleachedness is related to awakening's bleaching? During Fain's investiture field life-cycle, they bleach themselves? You're right, it was a long day, okay. But anyway. No invertebrates have *more* than 4 limbs, right? I really don't think it's needed to justify much beyond that they evolved (or were made) from a six-finned fish. Perhaps the weird lizard-fain-primate thing they "evolved" from (I'm not convinced the aethers didn't just make them) used the extra hands to climb better, and then used proper feet to run. Reveal hidden contents They're like singer gem hearts, forming from a leakage of investiture from the spiritual. in DSP we saw "waves of energy coming from the tamu kek", in the cognitive and physical. I doubt that's good for people. Dragonsteel Prime Huh. That could make sense, though there’s still the photosynthesis and sun-protection problems. I suppose it doesn’t matter too much, though, so we can ignore it. There are fish with up to ten fins, but some of them are on the top and would have to move around in order to get a hexapod. Actually, that can be our second arm pair - top was originally specialized for climbing, while bottom was for basic tool use. 11 hours ago, KaladinsSenseOfHumorSpren said: From what I know, humans were still in the middle of the food chain without fire. Most species of Homo were predators, but none ruled their ecosystems. I'll think some more on this tomorrow. I just got Mistborn the Deckbuilding Game and I got to play it. Yeah, but I’m not sure fire elevated humans to the top of the food chain. I’d put it more at the emergence of settlements and food surplus.

Humans post-fire did not need as strong jaws to chew cooked meat as they did raw, so the jaw shrunk, giving more space for brain growth.

The former, I have no idea, maybe they feed on colors outside the visible spectrum, for the latter, investiture heals that passively. With the ambient investiture we discussed earlier, it wouldn't even be a noticeable drain, and post-shattering they might be able to metabolize food into investiture or something using the Tamu Kek.
Argenti he/him Posted June 14, 2025 Posted June 14, 2025 I just kinda assumed the ShoDel can feel the Rythms through their Tamu Kek. It feels right.

Argenti he/him Posted September 29, 2025 Posted September 29, 2025 Iaira, the large gas giant around which RUin's and Devotion's world will have a seed land on it, and have life created. They will hunt minds.
Argenti he/him Posted February 3 Posted February 3 I'm going to create a weird atmosphere on Nerakalis- 71% nitrogen, 28% oxygen, 1% Co2, and the freaky thing is 1% ammonia. Yes, I know the ammonia will be removed quickly. There's plants for that.

Nerakalis will have an atmosphere of 71% nitrogen, 28% oxygen, 1% Co2, and 1% ammonia. This is a higher oxygen level than earth, and of course, the Ammonia in the atmosphere does some interesting things. It would make metallic ions and nitrogen a lot more bio available, meaning bigger plants, with possibly some more metals in them (Which might help counteract the flammability of a high O2 world) There's not going to be any sentient creatures on this world- but the plants, fungi and animals have a giant gestalt conciseness
