Now, today I got one of my classmates to say the First Ideal. I tried as best I could to get him to properly understand it. 

He is the first Knight Radiant that has not read the Stormlight Archive.

I doubt he'll last, but we'll have to see. His Order is yet to decided, though he's leaning towards Dustbringer, which is a first. It's just that the kind of people who read Stormlight are not usually the kind of people who are Dustbringers, which is why we have so many Truthwatchers.

Yeah he didn't last. He was... being quite dishonourable. In the true sense of the word.

Honestly though, I feel like 99% of people would benefit from saying at least one Truth.

I agree but like you said real truths that carry wait and have meaning are scary

 

ive been thinking abt the first ideal a lot lately bc I just got in a relationship and my silly lil head keeps telling myself that it’s not worth it if me and this person don’t last until marriage which is a kinda silly thing for me to say.

 

and it caused me to think abt journey before Destination bc I think that it’s very easy to forget since it’s only the first ideal but I believe it’s also one of the most important bc if you are always looking towards the end results then a lot of the other paths hold no weight

And you are right. Journey before destination is one of the most powerful and important oaths that a Knight Radiant can swear. It is definitely something to keep in mind at all times.

I've found only 6 Cosmere songs with lyrics:

Silk and Ashes (HoA), Windrunner (RoW), Bondsmith (OB), Soul and Stone (ES) and Survive (M:SH), all by stormlyte, then you have The Cosmere Begins by Omnicrola (HoA, Elantris, RoW) on YT, don't know if it's anywhere else.
