After the scientist’s signal, her shoulders were grabbed and she was taken to her room. The clone watched with wide eyes.

Dolly glared at the guards and the scientist, but didn’t say a word. As soon as she was alone in her room, she tried the door.

It was locked from the outside. 

For a few minutes she was left alone, but she eventually heard keys jingling in the door.

During those few minutes she added several more minuscule braids to her suddenly short hair. It made her head feel too light, a physical sign of how unbalanced her world had become. She stood up at the sound of keys.

The guard stepped through and held out some papers to her. “She wanted you to read this.”
