You've got like the Sunlight, it appears to be invested, and then like the planets core is like trying to suck it up and eat it all, like, where does it all go after it does that? And like, what's with that? Brandon - "Yeah, Canticle was BUILT for a very specific purpose by a VERY POWERFULL BEING in the Cosmere, that I will someday get to. You're going to see some more stuff like this. Basically MEGASTRUCTURES that imitate plantes or other heavenly bodies. And Brandon confirms it's not an avatar of any shard. So, here is my theory. Canticle was built by... INVENTION. Of all the shards, this seems like the most probable powerful being to be able to build megastructures. Brandon has also hinted at the Grand Aparatus. Maybe Invention is up to something involving these devices. Maybe the ones above, come from Inventions Megastructures. I'd love to hear what you think. 1

Canticle was almost certainly built by invention as part of "The Grand Apparatus" that has been mentioned a bit, we know little to nothing about it, and know that it's going to be cool. 3
