At good southern restaurants, there are always two types of saltine crackers.

One type is acrid and bitter, crunchy to the verge of dryness, with liberal salt.

One is sweet, with hints of sugar, a soft crumb that melts in your mouth, and just enough salt.

They look exactly the same, minus a few details of packaging. Every time I go to a restaurant with two saltines, I must taste both.

So yes, but only if it’s a good one

Nothing. You feel it, and it feels almost like peanut butter, but more so. It coats your mouth, and fills your throat, and you don't taste it. Nor do you taste anything else. Not anymore. Just the Transient
