He glanced at her, brow furrowed. Then shrugged and went back to his business, absentmindedly rubbing the scar on his arm with his thumb.

"Do we have a destination or anything?"

"Not a bad question," Ian replied.

“Not yet,” Cye said. “Not until we meet with our guide.”

“So… who is this guide anyway?”

Cye paused and turned to her.

“Please! Help! I’m the only Seer left. And… my visions… the’ve been…”

She trembled. “They’ve been wrong. Incorrect… not just those of the past. Do you know what that means?”

She hugged herself. “Not again, not again.”

She looked around and grinned. “You! It’s right… it hasn’t come yet. At least, not fully. Is he alive?”

She frowned, and focused back on Felicity. “Please. You need to… he’s dying. He’ll be dead soon. You must do something!”

“Yeah. Lots of them.”

Ian was confused.

“It means you aren’t a seer anymore?

“Nonono! My visions are still right, they’re just not the right visions! Not for the right person, not for the right me! How wouldn’t you know? Don’t you have Seers here?”

She started mumbling, and then started to cough. This coughing, rest assured, was not the Blight sickness.

But it was something.

He blinked. “Um….”

Her eyes widened and she stepped back.

“Maybe you can talk to the Flame once we get there. I admit it’d be great to see my parents again too…”

Felicity winced.

“Wait- if they’re not for the right people, I’m fine?”

He steadied her. “.. are you fine?”

“Nonononono! That’s the point! My visions aren’t for the right people which means there are no people deciding in the future which means they died which means that if we don’t do anything and don’t take advantage of the uncertainty he will die soon!”

She doubled over, emptying her lunch on Felicity.

She yelled and tried to tackle the woman, and Cye was just able to hold her back. After a couple seconds of struggling, she fell to the ground with tears in her eyes. She carefully held the dirtied part of the cloak, the pain in her eyes even more evident.
