Chester nodded in agreement. That place... that... was horrible. He was pretty sure he was going to have nightmares about those pods for years to come.

A finger tightened, and she nodded. Then, quietly, “She’s all I have left…”

Cye watched her. The poor girl was terrified, so close to losing her life and her friend’s. And if what she claimed was true, she had no family apart from the sleeping woman next to her.
