“This book details the actions of the Render before he became the Render! It is rather interesting…”

The statue prattled off, e informing her that the Render a) Started as a farmboy b) became a soldier for Kilad c) tried to kill Keylana d) Keylana gave up her power, and he became the Render.

Ian didn’t notice. He kept devouring the books and went back for more when he ran out.

Then he noticed.

He froze when he saw Aela, though, and looked at some portion of the wall with great interest.

He noticed and kind of panicked internally, then half-raised his hand before he realized she’d stopped, and then realized how stupid he must look and put it down.
