@Dabi?

Sorry, opening night, I’ll be in and out the rest of the night

Aaron sat up, drained of color. “Didn’t like that. Think it drained a bit of blood there,” he grumbled, looking over the wound

@Dabi?

Baby spiders exploded out of its abdomen.

The spiders swarmed towards him, marking him as easy prey.

Eliane shrieked and ran.

“Hey Aaron, I can save you, but is it worth my while?” asked Ash, flicking his wrist and levitating one of the spiders a foot off the ground

She used another glowing ball of energy to heal him.

“Ke tol Xairim?” She muttered. Around ten of the spheres stretched together and encased Aaron beneath the spiders. They were unable to penetrate it, but Aaron could move.

“We may like to hop to a new world now,” she said. “This is… stranger than I thought.”

Poor girl.

A spike buried itself in his abdomen for being rude.

Lia cringed and made it vanish.

"I agree . . . let's go."

Isadore spun the watch she’d been given when she started the program (I say they all have one to make it make sense) and a door appeared.

“My place. We can rest for a bit.”

His skin was glowing.

“Trust me. Pretending gets you much farther.”

The glowing spheres around her vanished, except for the ones clinging to Aaron. She opened the door and stepped through it.

“Oh, it won’t last. It’s a protective coating, but it’ll fade back into the universe soon.” She stepped through the pearlescent film in the doorway and vanished from sight.

He walked behind her, following as quickly as he could. “What are you?”

They emerged in a clearing in a thick, crickety forest. Shambles of houses that once must have been very nice dotted the overgrown cobble road clinging to the side of a steep hill

Isadore turned from her place atop the steps of one particular house in better keep than the rest.

“I am of the Magefolk, though I know that term means little to you.” She smiled, and perhaps that was a bit of a smirk, or perhaps a bit of apologeticness. “Welcome home. Come inside.”

He looked around in awe. "I'm gonna need you to teach me that trick."

She did.

She stepped into a rather bare but neat wooden room. A stool sat by the fire, and a small, threadbare couch hid in the corner. There was a table, too, surrounded by wooden chairs. Isadore sparked a fire in the hearth.

“We’re safe here. This is my world.”

Just now, Terrisman said:

Ash bumped his head on the low doorway as they were heading in.

The doorway was not, indeed, low.
