Hey, I was wondering if this had came up as a WoB what would happen if you compounded a metalminds full of information?

Compounding works by burning the metal to transform it into the form of investiture stored in the metal, but information should be different shouldn't it?

We do have some WoBs, but not much information:

Is there any use to being a copper Compounder, from a Feruchemical point of view? I think the same point would also apply to an aluminum Compounder.

Some combinations, like some abilities themselves, aren't really that useful. That said, being able to Compound copper...that could do some things. Aluminum, not so much.

What would happen if a copper-compounder would compound copper?

A lot of people have been asking that one. I don't know why they've all suddenly latched onto it, but you are going to get RAFO-ed, but I will give you a card. *laughter* I have reserve something for later books.

I will reveal this eventually. You're getting a RAFO. Do know that not all compounding does cool stuff. Not all of it does cool stuff, but a lot of it does cool stuff.

There are more, but no matter how the question was worded, the answer was RAFO

Hope that helps

While we don’t any confirmed things about what it does, I have heard a theory that i think works well

when you compound copper, you remember the memory in the copper with more clarity. Like remembering it superhumanly well

and another theory, that has less credence, but is interesting nonetheless,

When you compound, you still draw from preservation’s investiture, right? What if you could see memories from the current vessel of preservation when you copper compound?

I mean, that happens anyway, but do you mean that they continue remembering it without any degrading?

Please take Theories to the Discussion boards (Mistborn or Cosmer Discussion).

Q&A is for questions with discrete answers (not that the answer is always agreed upon) to help new readers, Discussion boards are the places to theorize, guess and . . . well, discuss.
