Blue-phoenix186 Posted January 25, 2025 Posted January 25, 2025 do you guys think they Will regulate Allomancy . in the next series? I feel like they would when it comes to coin shots and lurchers.but the tineyes and thugs would be harder to spot, maybe the constables would employ more seekers. Also, do you guys think you would have to get a Allomancy license or something. to be allowed to use your powers. I think it’s an interesting thought. 2
RedBlue Posted January 25, 2025 Posted January 25, 2025 If I recall correctly, there are already regulations regarding emotional Allomancy. They aren’t allowed to Soothe or Riot covertly in order to attract business or manipulate people into buying things. By the same logic, there will probably be laws against dangerous or reckless use of powers. Maybe certain city zones where Steelpush flight is not allowed. Blanket laws against using Allomancy (or Feruchemy) seem unlikely, though. There are plenty of legitimate reasons a person might burn tin or pewter, for example — why would the state want to prevent ordinary citizens from seeing in dim light, or from keeping warm? And any misuse of tin or pewter could be prosecuted under non-Allomancy-specific laws against invasion of privacy or violence. 5
brass dragon she/her Posted January 25, 2025 Posted January 25, 2025 (edited) The Scadrial community definitely needs more rules for Allomancy But in the next series aluminum will be more common, so I think Allomancers will be less dangerous. Perhaps the only way to use Allomancy in a city, without aluminum, restrictions is to have a job and a license for it Although I think flying through the air for Lurchers will become as easy as coin shots, as more skyscrapers and tall buildings are built. There may even be metal platforms for flying lurchers and coin shots to do less damage to the city. Edited January 25, 2025 by brass dragon 3
