I like the list of works by Brandon that is included, but I'm puzzled by the omission of "Shadows for Silence". It is still not on the list in WaT. Does anyone have any idea why it is not on that list? Treamayne Posted January 22, 2025 Posted January 22, 2025 It is not. the WaT list is even more redacted (most likely due to space - they even removed the Table of Contents to reduce page count for the Physical books). It was listed in SP 3, but I don;t think most books list everything (which is why I replace those pages in my ePubs with a self-generated version). The only thing I can think of is that it is not on the list because it is included in a collection (Arcanum), just as the individual Legions are not mentioned. Something that just occurred to me now ... Spoiler It's not just SfSinFoH - it's all of the short stories (Eleventh Metal, Hope of Elantris, Sixth of the Dusk, AJatPoE, etc.). And they are likely not listed individually because "Arcanum Unbounded" is listed as the collection in which they are contained (where as Print copies of Edgedancer, Dawnshard, The Emperor's Soul and M:SH are all available separately - well, TES shares a print edition with Legion). However, the original Printing of the Short Stories are not Brandon-exclusive: Eleventh Metal - Originally printed in Mistborn Adventure Game Shadows for Silence in the Forests of Hell - Originaly printed in the Dangerous Women Anthology Hardcover (Vol 3 for mass market edition) Sixth of the Dusk - Originaly printed in the Shadows Beneath Anthology (and best version of the story - by far) Only Hope of Elantris and Pits of Eltania had no previous physical edition prior to AU. elias888 Posted January 24, 2025 Posted January 24, 2025 "Shadows for Silence" got left out because it’s bundled in Arcanum Unbounded. The other short stories are the same—originally published in anthologies, so they’re not listed separately.
