Ison spread his arms. "Whatever power controls this storm, I welcome you with open arms."

There was no reply. The storm continued, knocking him over.

A figure walked near him, pushing against the storm and clearing his view.

Aela got comfortable in one of the beds.

Felicity, in the other.

Ison sat up slowly. "Hello?" he said, struggling to stay upright.

@Kino

The figure looked at him, opening her mouth and extending her hand.

And then, a spear flashed forwards, seemingly from nowhere, driving itself through the woman’s skull.

A voice rang, “I judge you unworthy.”

Immediately, Ison found himself balancing better, the confusion clearing.

"... What just happened? Kino?"

Kino dropped from a tree. He cocked his head, as if listening, and then scampered away.

“Night,” she said, lying down but not about to sleep just yet.

Aela fell asleep rather quickly, the exhaustion of the day catching up to her.

Aela fell asleep rather quickly, the exhaustion of the say catching up to her.

She took a little longer to calm down. She closed her eyes slowly.

Her arms and chest heated up, and she heard her father’s scream. A splash of blood flew across her face and a head splashed against the ground making a squelching sound. Her muscles kept tensing.

“I’m glad you’re okay.”

She shook awake. She had no clue how long had passed, but she still felt exhausted. But she couldn’t go back to sleep.

She quietly sat up and looked at Aela sleeping peacefully.

Dang lol

She kept watching, painfully aware of any little noise she made - breathing, rustling of her clothes or the bedsheets, the creaking bed. She couldn’t wake up Aela, she had to be tired too.

Aela certainly wouldn't mind being woken up if Felicity wasn't feeling well.

She knew that. But she couldn’t. She drew her legs to her chest and cried silently, turning her face away from Aela and setting her ear on her knees. The noise was just as small as the others, but her sniffles were slightly louder and more frequent noise.
