Aelorin studied the stone as he hung motionless.

It had appeared, and he couldn’t move now.

Bother.

The stone pulsed, and suddenly Aelorin was in another place - some twenty others there as well. A field, with dark fog covering the land. There was no sun.

In its place, a light - increasingly intense - glared from the sky, nearing them.

Did Cole ever get the Archstone? I assume it’s useless now, anyway.

It stays in the reality it governs.

@Souls

Aelorin calmly assessed the situation, then frowned as his second mind was silent. “Something’s wrong…”

He looked up to the light, which was getting brighter and brighter, an orange light coming from it.

Aw man.

Cole’s fingers stop inches from the Archstone as he is hit by a pulse of darkness. He falls to the ground in the strange place, and lies there disoriented and in pain.

She looked around nervously. Mirth, where are we?

That’s not funny.

.. Mirth?!

MIRTH?!

Jakob wakes up suddenly -last he remembers was falling asleep on the couch with his boyfriend- but that's clearly not where he is right now.

He looks up

Her father was next to her, and he seemed to be frantic - though not nearly as bad as before.

The light resolves - though it is very very far away, you are somehow able to tell that the light comes from a fire specifically.

He takes his phone out, ready take a picture, but when he tries to turn it on...

The phone bursts into flames, the purest form of electricity.

Not too far away, a second flame appears, much more intense than the first.

And outside the fog, a third, worse flame appears.

”I’m Aelorin - more commonly known as the duelist. For the second… no idea.”

"Great. One minute I was performing in front of a packed audience, who were tossing coin into my hat but the bucketload, and now I'm here. Is this hell?"

It seems to be coming from a stone.
