So I had a… strong emotional reaction to what Tarevangian/Odium did to Jasnah in Wind and Truth. How, in a very real sense, it broke her. Perhaps not on the same level other characters have been broken.  But she is now in the position to rebuild herself.  Setting the stage for the next set of books.

Based on what little we actually know about the next 5 books, Jasnah gets the flashbacks for book 10 (https://wob.coppermind.net/events/367/#e11620)  Which makes me think she’ll get a rematch in that book.

I’m calling it round 3, since round 1 was in Kharbronth (tho Adonalsium knows what version of Tarevangian we had that day).

Jasnah is one of my favorites, and yeah that scene was awful and awesome. Since Elsecallers oaths are based around self-improvement, I wouldn't be surprised if this shattering of her beliefs locks her in the 4th until book 10

Or even has her regress a bit.  But, I think there’s a case for regression, occasionally being broken, and rebuilding one’s self being an important part of self improvement.

Also, given the circumstances, she really needs to learn how to make an Elsegate.

Or, she might even run.  She’s probably the only one around who can leave Urithiru.

Someone pointed out that she was able to recruit Szeth's wife into either the Elsecallers or the Veristitalians. Since that woman was all the way across the world and unable to pass into Shadesmar, it definitely seems like people are either able to communicate or travel to and from Urithiru.

Who knows how long it took for that woman to be able to write that book. She obviously had the chance to meet and eventually marry Szeth, so that’s a fair amount of time for infrastructure to recover.

6 years.

I believe it is specified right after the last quote of KoWT.
