Honor becoming a slave to odium?

If Dalinar were to take up the shard of honor prior to the contest of champions, if he (or his champion) manages to lose the contest of champions, would he then have to serve under odium and become odiums slave even as honors vessel, as his contract with odium states?

I believe that Oaths have been seen on screen to transcend Ascension, with Rayse and Taravangian's Oath that Kharbranth will not be attacked, though Taravangian was on the receiving end of that oath. I think it would still apply though
