Edit: it looks like I was somewhat aware of Ranger's Apprentice, just under its French name (L'apprenti d'Araluen)

But like... it exists, that's all I knew about it, so still thanks for the rec because it certainly wasn't on my radar

Bridge to terabithia is an easy read. I read it in like under an hour. But doesnt mean its not the best book to exist.  Like its a "children's book" but its got the depth and emotions that scarred little me for life. Literally tskes two seconds to read. DO IT!!
