These abilities, granted, won’t work against the one you saw hallucinating; Madness can grant him psychopathy. But they should be quite effective against his soldiers. You are strengthened by the emotions of nearby peoples, and can, as a result, manipulate other emotions. If you do it too much, though, it will start to feed on your life force. Nothing drastic, just a warning that you need more emotions to continue.

The reason it is effective against the soldiers is because each of them are permeated by Rage.

This is more powerful… much. But only if you are willing to commit atrocity. Otherwise, it should serve just as well as fire.

Yes. But it is a conscious thing. And I would recommend using it against the soldiers of Rage.
