The knight, pushed by the wind, falls over. He gives out a cry of pain as he hits the ground, the links of the chains digging into his skin.

Cole steps on the man’s arm; trying to prevent him from using his sword.

Yeah, that makes sense.

Now, taking the oxygen away doesn’t necessarily stop the fire, using a liberal definition of fire.

But it makes sure it doesn’t burn…

HOW?! She was terrified.

Both of them should be giving off a generous amount of hatred. And they are much more susceptible to emotional manipulation than any other Servant.

Well, that’s not true, but Mirth has never had two Servants at a time.

He's just hiding in his tree still, watching the fight.

The other knight notices him, and the tree begins to burn as the knight arrives.

Uh.. okay…

She made them a little worried.

He exits the sanctity of the tree, and attempts to use the gift bestowed upon him by Intelligence upon the Knight.

*in strange British accent*
No no no. Your doing it oll wroooooong. You must make them hate each other!

*Berin flashbacks.*

Ok maybe it shouldn’t be that powerful…

The one charging the tree looked around, paranoid.

This isn’t rioting or soothing. If it is, it’s like how the Lord Ruler uses it. Yes, you can and do sometimes need to be subtle, but…

In battle…

Do you know how Berin used it?

The knight burst into smoke, but not flame.

She gave them each hostility- after all, if they were going to be betrayed, they could prevent it! They could turn against the earl, as well!

Finally…

*visions of something worse*

*shiver*

Unlike you, Berin was a Servant of Mirth, Rage, and Madness, so his attacks were… inspired.

The knight in flames immediately turned to the other one, first slaughtering the horse and then pulling the other up. “Duel. You would have betrayed me eventually. Let’s settle it now. Equal. Weapons already out.”

Good job.

Cole tears the shirt off, stomping on it.

Oh… well… your wind could have stopped the fire from hurting you.

It wouldn’t have stopped the fire from trying to be there, there just would have been no oxygen there for it to burn.

The knights were now dueling.

Thanks.

The knights dueled.

So, this’ll at least get rid of one, but… what about the other?

Quote

Do you know what Berin did? He used his Servant of Mirth powers to easily clear an entire stronghold of soldiers of Rage.

Spoiler for disturbing gore stuff.

Spoiler

He made them feel very hungry, and made them hate each other. So… they ate each other.

Ye.

Berin had problems.

Likely very weakened…

One of the knights rams the other with his blade, the point punching through battered armor and into the side. He looked up, rage burning in his eyes.

Eyes… that means the helmets have a pretty large gap.

While the knights fought, Cole finally figured out how to load the crossbow. He fires it, using wind to guide the bolt through the eye slit.
