Soulstamp Shenanigans

Hi! I’m bored right now, so I’ve finally gotten around to posting this thread. (It’s been months since I first thought of it.) 

I want to see what creative uses for soulstamps everyone can come up with, because it is the most concrete yet open ended magic system we have. If your scenario requires the magic to work a certain way, note the assumptions you’re making before you give the idea. If you can come up with a different trick that would do something similar if the assumption isn’t true, even better. 
 

1. How to turn lead into gold. (No assumptions made) 
Although people appear confident that turning lead into gold is impossible, I disagree. My method requires two bars of gold, but makes three. First, you need a lead bar and two gold bars. Flip a coin to decide which bar of gold to mess with. Take your selected bar, and remove most of the gold, replacing it with lead. Keep that gold for yourself. Next, create a soulstamp, stating that you’d chosen the other bar to counterfeit. Apply it to the counterfeit bar, and cover the stamp with more gold. Sell both it and the gold you’d stolen, potentially using the money to repeat the trick. Alternatively, if you work at some sort of treasury, pocket the stolen gold and leave your fake bars. 
 

2. Compact packing (no assumptions that I can think of.) 

Roll dice to assign the order you pack things into a small, cylindrical container. Among your things, include a wooden disc the minimum size required for a soulstamp. Create soulstamps that say the wooden disc was rolled instead, and use them to turn all of your items to small wooden discs. Remove the soulstamp when you want them back.

Instant Wood Cutting 

For the Forgers that aren't geniuses like Shai and just want a nice stable career to be set for life. Though there is an assumption it's a minor one*.

They go to a forest which has a long history of wood cutters chopping down trees, then make a Stamp that changes a tree's history that it was actually already cut by wood cutters, then being able to stamp any tree in that forest since they all had a strong chance of being cut in the past.

Then instead of needing to swing an axe to cut down a tree, you can save yourself a lot of time and effort by just stamping it to make it cut.

And going by the logic of "Essence Marks that make you dead can't revive you after they expire" that would mean that a Stamp used to make a tree cut would make the tree 'dead' and not simply merge back together*.

With this it becomes incredibly easy, and more importantly simple, for a Forger to make a career of cutting trees in perhaps the most laziest way possible.

Only if it’s probable that you would have done it instead of what you did do (for instance, instead of spending a long time making a magic stamp), I think.

Honestly I'd rather make a soulstamp than do my homework

I’ve got one

Turning a paperback into a hardcover. (No assumptions I can think of)

First you’d have to get a softcover book that was made near some hardcovers (I have no idea how books are printed). Then you convince the book that it was made into one of those hardcovers instead. Of course it wouldn’t be that simple, as special editions usually have more premium paper and extra art (depending on which hardback you get) but I don’t think it would be to hard to convince the book that it was a misprint or that it was made differently. You would also end up with a cool looking stamp somewhere on the book as a small bonus for your trouble.

Randomly pick a book to buy (maybe with dice or something), and buy it.

Later, if you want to read another book, stamp the book into believing you had picked another book.

The trouble is, you can't (in the Emperor's Soul period) make a generic "horse" fast. You'd need to craft a custom stamp for that horse.
