Ivy Farseer Posted October 10, 2024 Posted October 10, 2024 Hello! Nice to meet you all . I've always loved to read and little by little I realize that YA wasn't as fulfilling anymore hahaha. So I started diving into other stuff like Dune, Forgotten Realms, Robin Hobb, etc. A couple of years ago I read Mistborn and loved it. I haven't read a lot in the last couple of years and I was craving it. Last month when I heard there was a Kickstarter for a Cosmere RPG I decided to pledge and read everything Cosmere. So currently I'm re-reading Mistborn (right now halfway though Hero of Ages) so I can start with the other books I haven't read. Still not sure in which order to read them haha but I imagine in here I can find a couple of posts with suggestions. I'm really excited about exploring this new world and I'm hoping to meet some cool people to talk about it. I really don't have anyone in my life that likes the books I read. So don't be shy to reach out and say hi or share your suggestions for the reading order. 6
Through The Living Glass She/They Posted October 10, 2024 Posted October 10, 2024 Hey there! Welcome to the Shard! If you could visit any country on Roshar for a week, which country would you visit and why? 2
Ivy Farseer Posted October 10, 2024 Author Posted October 10, 2024 @Through The Living Glass uuffff that's a great question. I will let you know after I read Stormlight. For now I've just read Mistborn. But if I've had to answer the same question in Scadrial I would choose the Kandra Homeland. I think it would be very interesting to see the different true bodies and the differences between each generations designs. 2

I thought you said you'd read all of the Cosmere already. *nods sagely* The Kandra homeland would be really cool to see, ngl. 2

(Roughly publication order) Hi! Well I finished re-reading Mistborn like 2 days ago and started reading Tress of the Emerald Sea. Almost done with it and I realize I should've waited to read it cause they mention stuff that I'm not familiar with lol but I'm sure I'll catch up eventually. I order it through the Dragonsteel page and it was so beautiful that I couldn't help reading it

Tress of the Emerald Sea was quite the book, and I can see why its kinda confusing to those who aren't the most comere aware. I'd recommend reading Yumi and the Nightmare Painter for another great story. Now, a question for you: If you could only be one type of either misting or ferring, what would it be and why? 1

Definitely Thug of Coinshot. I think those 2 would be the most fun. If not maybe an Archivist I think would be something that I would enjoy. How about you? Thank you for the recommendation

For me, I'd say f-bronze or f-zinc(Sentry or Sparker). It would be quite useful to easily pull all nighters with f-bronze, and reaction speed would be off the charts with f-zinc. I love to game and both of them would be quite awesome to have. Otherwise, I'd say having f-chromium(Spinner) for infinite luck would be great. 1
