Murr stayed on the shield, holding Evan down, and reached for the dropped tomahawk. His hand missed it a couple times before he finally seized it and raised it to strike.

Also random question - If one of the eaters of the linking-flower-thing was, say, burning a metal, would the other feel the effect? Would one person be able to Push/Pull from the other person's position?

What I was kind of thinking is that if that metal-burning thing worked, Capitol (or whatever we call it now) workers might intentionally use them to have more guards burning pewter, tin and probably bronze than they would before, although if its irreversible, I doubt many people would choose to do that.

Evan cringed back and tried to move the shield between himself and the raised tomahawk, but couldn't move it with Murr on top of it. He looked towards Aerol, hoping she could do something to end the fight.
