She listened for a moment more.

Run! Quietly!

She dashed uphill.

Evan quickly followed her, trying to keep his footsteps as quiet as possible. He glanced over his shoulder to see if he could spot where or what the sound was coming from.

Kintlen looked between them.

”Looks like a tie! I get the deciding vote…”

He closes his eyes - apparently. He was really peaking.

And pointed at Winter. With his gun.

And he shot him.

It’s all good! We needed more death!

Winter felt the bullet hit him as is in slow motion. Its momentum pushed over the edge of the boat. He hit the water and fell into shock. After all the chaos he survived with Squall and Sharlin, it was over. He was dying.
His last thought as the darkness overcame him was to hope that Fawn would find some way to escape these stupid games and return home to the forest.

A small smile tugged at Pellee’s mouth.

Sharlin watches Winter hit the water with wide eyes. Part of her wants to jump in after him, though it's already not to late.

Oh . . . I'm sorry . . .

She had been ready to see death, it was actually one of the few things that she had gotten good at.

But Winter had been a kid. A kid just like . . .

And she had foolishly thought she could help him just like--like--

The edges of her vision darkened again. Sharp said tried to say something, but she couldn't hear it. As Winter's shadowy figure sunk into the waves it flickered and changed. That wasn't a fourteen year old boy anymore, now it was her. The white coat dark with blood, her long brown hair floating around her as she slowly fell, her face scratched replaced only with a glowing yellow--

"No, no, no!" Sharlin yelled, slamming a fist against her forehead. "Haha . . . Not again, missy I just dealt with you . . ."

She rubbed her thumb over the handle of the gun. That was calming enough.

She'd given Winter the cold shoulder most of their alliance to toughen him up, but in the end it simply meant their time together meant nothing.

"Oh well!" She told Sharp, "We already knew I wasn't suited to that sort of thing--now we evidence to prove it!"

Are . . . you alright?

She ignored him. Stupid question.

"Hey so we played your game, buddy, can we go now?" She asked the guy in the other boat. Sharlin was tired of sitting around in boats, she wanted to get her feet on some real ground . . . maybe find a fight . . . Yeah, that would her feel better.

“Sure! If I see you again, though, we’ll play again!”

He paddled away.

Squall watched the body sink with indifference. another down. several more to go. he looked to sharlin out of the corner of his eye. Sorry cousin, I'll have to kill you later. he stretched and turned around, kicked the boat into gear, then sped off.

"Where are we going now?" Sharlin asked as the sped across the water.

"I'm kind of tired of being out on the ocean for so long, too many creepy gamblers." She give him a grin.

Sharling pulled out their map out of her bag.

"Let's see . . . maybe we should go back to the starting one? Yah think people are more likely to be there?"

Can I use my partial GM status to suggest we try and get everybody in a smaller area? That has helped us wrap up other games in the past.

I think we should at least highly encourage players to give their characters a reason to move closer, but you could also through in something with the arena to force them. In Smedry, they did like lava covering the floor and that helped a lot in bringing people close together.

Either works tho lol.
