Sharlin was 3/4 of the way up now, she starting searching for a spot on the top where she could sit or something.

Wait...

Now I want to see Berin meet Ryn. I think they'd get along great

Ryn was also a tribute a while ago who died and then decided to haunt. Although I think he somehow came back to life and is annoying the Gamemakers, so a meeting might be difficult. But I think it would be fun.

"Ado... why did I eat you?" the Greenspine grumbles. "It wasn't even worth the effort..." It starts clawing at the tree. It doesn't want to use its spores yet, not until it has a full stomach.

“Because the Gamemakers told you to. Why do you do anything?”

O my gosh Berin is cruel…

Sharlin starts scrambling up the tree quickly, trying to get away from it's clawing.

"This was a bad idea, a terrible idea," She grumbled to herself, reaching from one of the branches at the top.

I told you to never trust plants to help, but you didn't listen.

"This is hardly the trees fault!" Sharlin swung herself up into the top of the tree, going as high as her weight would allow.

I decree that the tree has branches because Elan never responded 👿

For some reason I thought of this poem from The Hobbit:

Fifteen birds in five fir-trees,
their feathers were fanned in a fiery breeze!
But, funny little birds, they had no wings!
O what shall we do with the funny little things?

The Greenspine crouched, preparing for a jump.

Me realizing Winter failed his one job of warning Sharlin of danger. At least she noticed on her own.

"Fawn, warn Sharlin about the deepwalker beast" Winter whispers to his aviar, trying to avoid attention.

Winter spares a quick glance to make sure Fawn gets her attention before slowing backing away into the foliage. He didn't want to abandon Sharlin after she had spared him, but he knew that he would get himself killed by attacking the monster. He needed to retreat while it was distracted by Sharlin.

Is anyone near Maj? Because he's just hiding in a tree and not doing anything.

(Also I do still exist there just isn't really anything to post about hiding in a tree.

"I know, I KNOW!" Sharlin said as the bird came up and landed by her, pulling on her sleeve a bit.

She loaded and cocked her gun. The Greenspine was well within her range.

Squall freezes. "Shiz, you're right." and he leaps down.

Sharlin nodded. Climbing the tree had been a good idea for the tsunami, but definitely wouldn't be her first strategy in fighting a big monster like this.

She raised her gun, aiming it at one of the creatures eyes . . . hopefully a shot like that would at least blind it, maybe cut through to it's brain.

Sharlin pulled the trigger, and the shot rang out across the island with a satisfying BANG!
