Dofurion Posted September 29, 2024 Posted September 29, 2024 I'll be quick, Cultivation made a huge mistake by choosing Taravangian to replace Rayse as Odium's vessel. And even his training method was wrong. Now, what do I base this statement on? Well, on the following: At this point, what we know about Cultivation's plan is that he wanted to replace Odium's vessel with someone who understood his perspective, someone who was able to look at the long-term benefit. But he was wrong in enhancing the same problem of the shard but now with the vessel: Odium, the divine wrath of God but without the morality to contextualize it. Now Taravangian is added, a textbook Machiavellian mentally divorced from the feelings that could have restricted him. From my perspective, what Cultivation should have been looking for was a person who could recontextualize the extreme passions felt as a vessel for Odium. Someone like... Adolin. A person who is already aligned in that area (has been seen 3 times on stage near passionsprens) but does not have a need for control as Rayse and Taravangian did. Well, that's basically my point. Now it would be funny if everything we saw with the vessel change was just a halfway point in Cultivation's plans. 3
