ReadAndFindOut Posted September 26, 2024 Posted September 26, 2024 Hi folks! Are you a big fan of Brandon Sanderson and the Cosmere who also happens to be a therapist or psychologist? (Or maybe you know someone in either of those professions who likes reading good books?) Well do I have a proposal for you! I'm currently working on creating a podcast that examines the use of Sanderson's works as a therapy/self-help text, and I'm looking for someone with the right professional experience who would be interested in being a cohost! (Bonus points if they live in Utah/Salt Lake Valley, as I'd love to be able to record in person.) If that is you or someone you know, PLEASE reach out to me either here, on Discord, or at [email protected] Journey Before Destination, Radiants! 1

Not a mental health professional, but I thought I might mention Altered Perceptions, in case you are not aware of it. Discussed more in-depth (with excepts) in this post (and a few other posts on the forum). It was a for-charity release in support of Mental Health Awareness that allowed contributing authors to submit both essays on how Mental Health affects their lives (and lives of family, friends, etc.) along with content either original to the Anthology or showing drafts/versions of work where known characters made difference choices from the published material. Personally, I find the essays more important and useful than the submissions.
Miyabi She/Her Posted October 30, 2024 Posted October 30, 2024 Not a therapist or psychologist, but I work in mental health/addiction recovery. I have a co-worker who is a therapist that is really big into fantasy who plans on soon getting into begin reading the books as she has read Wheel of Time. I could ask her if she would be interested in such a thing.
