I'm new to the 17th Shard, but I've read pretty much all of Brandon's books multiple times each.
Just cant get enough of them haha!
I was introduced to his books a couple years ago, and I've loved all of them!
Seriously loved the secret projects tho, I read Tress, and it was immediately my favourite; then read Yumi and it was then my new favourite book; then read Sunlit Man and that then tied with Yumi for my favourite!
Ive also really enjoyed the worldbuilding throughout the Cosmere
(Random fact: read each of the SA books in less than 5 days each)

Oooohhh
Probably Azir, it seems kinda chill. Interesting without being hostile or dangerous. Also no lighteye/darkeye divisions, my eyes shift colours just enough that that could get... confusing lets say. (ranging from dark green to light blue with slight orange edges)

Welcome to the Shard!

Who are your favorite and least favorite characters?

I think my favourite for character growth is Dalinar (THE OATHS THO!), but overall favourite probably Renarin or Spook.

Nah I'm good, thanks!
...Hemallurgy.
Yikes.
Uh...
I feel like if Hoid doesn't use it for gaining powers he does so for very good reason. Not just opening oneself up to the effects of Shards but I feel like there have to be more repercussions that haven't been explored yet.

Done the Radiant quiz multiple times and I always get Lightweaver no matter how much I have variation from day to day...

YAY!  A Renarin fan! What draws you to Renarin?

He's a bit like me, non-confrontational, occasionally a bit detached, but with the best of intentions. The scene that makes me like him the most is when he tells Adolin to go back, then runs RIGHT AT THE GIANT ROCK MONSTER.
Also like despite all the conflict within him, he still helps others. his eyes and epilepsy were cured but he has visions, he struggles to interact with others yet he really tries, he dislikes sudden contact but he is a healer. All seeming opposites that build upon each other to make a very interesting character. Even though he hasn't had much (on-screen-time) he still is a very solid character with intriguing development. I love how he just gets kinda absorbed into Bridge 4 even though he's so different, but I suppose that's also the point. He may be so different from those in Bridge 4 but he's also different from the others around him, so they accept him. I feel like that's just cool.
And like his healing working slightly better than normal Regrowth, and his Illumination working so differently, it's just really interesting.
Alongside that, the struggles of wishing to fit in and feeling everything is pushing him away from normality, everything he tries just distinguishes him more and he just wants to fit in, I guess that resonates with me just a little bit. Just the nervousness in most situations punctuated by immense bravery and knowledge of what is right in others, I just feel like he's one of the best developed characters even with some of the least written about him.

Those are also many of the reasons I adore Renarin.  The, "Look, I want to help, but don't acknowledge that I helped," thing is a total vibe.  His assimilation to Bridge 4 was also very cool.  I think that showed a lot of growth for their group at the same time.  They went from "To Damnation with all Lighteyes," to "You're an outcast?  WELCOME!" and I loved that.

I was late diagnoses with autism, so the fact that he seems largely autism coded but there's isn't a definition for autism on Roshar reminds me of many of he feelings I had growing up trying to figure out why I was so "weird" compared to everyone else.  Renarin goes through a lot of that, and it makes him super relatable.

I'm not sure what all you've read but there are a couple spoilers from ROW and a little bit of WOB:

Spoiler

The fact that Glys is an "enlightened" Spren and his surges working different is SO intriguing to me.  Like... I love the fact that Brandon's magic systems tend to be "hard mgic" (measurable and follow set rules), and it makes it even MORE interesting when someone is outside of the normal paradigm.

Renarin is also gay so I also grew up with a lot of those same difficulties being trans and having lived a lot of my life as a gay man.  Though we haven't seen a ton of this make it to the screen, if you look for it, the subtext and who he has feelings for are there.

Oh missed the second half of this
Least favourite as in:

Character of whom I feel is the least developed: Beldre from Mistborn Era 1, we don't really see many coinshots/lurchers in era 1 with any real development and I feel like an opportunity was missed there. I do appreciate the little we see of her though. Could've been more though.

Who I would dislike in real life: Rayse. He's just kinda condescending and nasty. He seems to be caring but he's just malicious throughout and it just makes my skin crawl. Written very well though.

I appreciate The Lopen. He's just so unique! yeah, some people find him annoying but them who have that opinion don't see what they're missing. He's determined to bring light to others while staving off darkness within. Yeah maybe he makes mistakes, but it's a proportionate quantity! The more you try, the more mistakes you make. I really appreciate the scene between The Lopen and Rysn in Dawnshard, when it shows how much he really cares and why he says the things he does.
Also I feel like The Stormfather likes messing with him and it's hilarious. With his second ideal coming in the middle of a conversation is so funny.

I was introduced to the Cosmere in three instances in the span of a year, with one friend having Warbreaker on a long car ride of which I devoured half of, finding his books at the library, and I have a cousin who leant me his whole collection at one time or another. I only made the connection after the third instance
