While I absolutely love this detail and am all about that theorycrafting, it's worth remembering the grain of salt that these covers are not Canon. 1

Totally agree! I still remember when I didn't know this. I spent the entire The Way of Kings wondering who the character on the cover was. Definitely the little clues anmd details they leave on the covers are my favorite part. Well that and the composition.
