RoyalBeeMage he/him Posted August 28, 2024 Posted August 28, 2024 I want to run a political negotiation game... what does that even mean I hear you ask? well, essentially you are all playing diplomats, tasked with negotiating on their nation's behalf. however, a key part of this game/rp is that you won't know what nation you're negotiating for. meaning what exactly? meaning that they'll simply have to guess which nation they are part of and hope that the decisions they make benefit them. if you want a world-building reason it's done this way to ensure for fair negotiations. however, there is one more fun thing about the game I should mention, as the GM of this RP I'm not just facilitating the negotiations I'm participating in it as well. however, one thing to notice is that as the GM I get to know which nation everybody is a part of. how is that fair you could just manipulate the others the help my nation succeed? exactly that's the point! what do I mean? i will be playing as my own independent nation and at the beginning of the game I will role to determine which nation among the players I'm part of and act accordingly though the players themselves won't know whose side I'm on. meaning that either they trust me and run the risk of accidentally helping another nation, or don't trust me and throw away the one advantage you have. so who wants to join in this chaos? there are 6 nations meaning that some of you might need to double up if we get a lot of players interested. you still won't know who your partners are though. 1

Hmmmm...I am intrigued by the...political...ness. This sounds fun, I'll have to report back, but I'd like to se it happen!
Lord Spirit he/him Posted August 28, 2024 Posted August 28, 2024 This sounds interesting… The concept reminds me of the game diplomacy. It’s a great game, but it can destroy relationships what nations would we be representing? Real, Sanderson or something else.

All I would provide at the start is a list of names and the pros and cons of each one
