I really, really wish I liked tomatoes. 

I like the things that are made from them. 

But I don't like plain tomatoes themselves. It makes me quite sad, honestly.

Often in the summer, we'll do a barbecue at home, and a fresh pasta salad to go with the meat. It pretty much always has tomatoes in it, and I always end up having tons of those because neither of my brothers like those

Ok asking the Real Questions here, do you pronounce it Toh-May-Toe or Toh-Mah-Toe?

 

Have you had tomatoes on pizza? It’s delicious. Only if you bake the tomatoes with the pizza not put them on top later

I'm realizing I don't know which one I say, because I never had to actually say "tomatoes" in English out loud.

That's the perks of being a non-native speaker who uses English mainly on the Internet, I guess.

Though toh may toh sounds the least weird to me, from what I can tell.

I usually pronounce English whichever way I feel is most "right" to me. (Which can be rather different from the English one, especially for fantasy names; listening to my first Shardcast and hearing the names said out loud was really weird.)

But now I'm torn between "Well I guess if native speakers don't even agree on pronunciation then whatever way I say words, there will be someone who says it like that"

and "Help both pronunciations for tomatoes feel completely wrong now"
