"Well," said the leader of the guards, "If you see him around, be sure to turn him in. Goes by 'Rye'. Thank you for your time." The soldiers shuffled out of the tavern. Rye exhaled slowly.

"Hey guys," he said finally. "I'm back."

"Helloooo," June said, lowering his flute. "Who're you?"

March stood nearby, watching. This guy had better not cause trouble.

Arke grins. he writes down "friend" and shows it to june.

"Sooo . . . he's with you guys?" June looked to March, "Should we arrest him too?"

March gave the new man a hard look. "It'd be less then legal because he wasn't with them when we caught them . . . "

"Oh, I'd prefer if you didn't arrest me," Rye said. "The number of times I was captured in Shenai exceeds what I can count on my fingers."

Arke waves walks around happily. he heals March of any future arthritis because he's so happy.

March snorted darkly, "I don't think you have much of a choice." This guy had officially pissed him off (not that that's hard to do).

LOLL

March turned to June pointing at Rye. His joints felt less sore for some reason. "Watch after this guy too, we're taking him along."

June raised an eyebrow. "But he's not really involved is he?"

"He knows them, that's enough. He could be in-valuable when we get to the questioning stage."

June just shrugged.

this is me integrating you into the plot so you can play when we skip forward

"Arke," Niamh whispered, "What are you doing? Are you okay?"

He pulls out a paper that's just a bunch of confusing scribbles that you think you can make out both a "yes" and a "no"

Niamh looked at the paper, worried. "What in the world happened?"

He manages to trip himself over a chair, flipping over it and landing flat on his back. he shakes his head, a little confused.

skippy Mcskip time

Jouken is one of the largest cities in the empire, the buildings stretch over the hills in a blanket for miles in every direction. There is no distinct city border or wall, instead the structures slowly get further apart as they bleeds into the surrounding farmland.

They party is quickly escorted to the palace, a large building of hard stone that looks like a patchwork of different buildings from different time periods. It's set on a hill, making it visible from most parts of the city even though it wasn't more then two stories tall. It only had one tower, which shot up towards the sky from it's-south most side.

August and July are lead into a different part of the building, likely locked in their personal chambers.

The rest are, somewhat surprisingly left in a large sitting room, instead of a jail cell. It wasn't the nicest room in the building, and could use more furnishing, but there were large windows and chairs.

October and March left everyone there to go report to the Emperor that they'd returned. June was left to watch over them, and they locked the door on their way out.

June plopped down on one of the sofa's and started playing with a lock of his hair, clearly bored.

She supposed crawling on the ceiling was relatively normal for him.

There is a small girl, probably about 8 years old or so wearing a pretty pink dress. Her hair is up in 2 pigtails tied in pink bows (think, PINK). She's sitting in one of the seats swinging her feet. "Welcome friends! We're going to have so much fun."

Arke does a mental facepalm, and physically rolls his eyes at the kid.

She cranes her head upwards to look at Arke "Hey mister! That looks fun! What are you doing up there!"
