"Oh." Niamh hadn't seen the girl initially. "Hello."

"That's good."

"Oh, he just does that. Don't mind him."

"Hi! What's your name! Oooh! It's been forever since I've had new friends to play with! I'm usually not allowed to leave. *Gasp* what should we do first!"

"I'm Niamh. What's your name? . . . Why aren't you allowed to leave?"

"Oh! I'm May! My daddy won't let me leave. He says I'm waaaaay too important to disappear unlike those other traitors." She gets a really scary look on her face when she mentions traitors before going back to her bubbly childish demeanor.

Niamh sat in another chair. "Well . . . this isn't exactly what I expected."

"Are you . . . feeling better?"

She supposed crawling on the ceiling was relatively normal for him.

"What'd you expect?" June asked, looking over at her. He never ran out of questions, it seemed.

There is a small girl, probably about 8 years old or so wearing a pretty pink dress. Her hair is up in 2 pigtails tied in pink bows (think, PINK). She's sitting in one of the seats swinging her feet. "Welcome friends! We're going to have so much fun."

"Don't call July a traitor," June said, sitting straight up and staring at her.

It seemed less scary and more adorable to Niamh.

"Why are you so important? I mean- not like that . . ." she chuckled.

"What makes you important enough to be locked up in here?"

"A cell. Well, a prison cell. I guess this is still a cell."

"Oh yeah . . . well we don't really have a dungeon. A few hundred years ago they converted into part of the--"

He cut himself off, face wrinkling in thought. "No, it's probably best that you don't know about that for now."

Arke drops down to give him a fairly large piece of paper, that just says "write down the details, I wont tell." and goes back up to his spot.

Her childishness drops "But he was. We all know it June." (Right? which one was July? I'm still new to this and can't remember)

"Because my daddy is the emperor himself. That makes me special. That makes my entire family special. Even when some of us make mistakes."

Jouken is one of the largest cities in the empire, the buildings stretch over the hills in a blanket for miles in every direction. There is no distinct city border or wall, instead the structures slowly get further apart as they bleeds into the surrounding farmland.

They party is quickly escorted to the palace, a large building of hard stone that looks like a patchwork of different buildings from different time periods. It's set on a hill, making it visible from most parts of the city even though it wasn't more then two stories tall. It only had one tower, which shot up towards the sky from it's-south most side.

August and July are lead into a different part of the building, likely locked in their personal chambers.

The rest are, somewhat surprisingly left in a large sitting room, instead of a jail cell. It wasn't the nicest room in the building, and could use more furnishing, but there were large windows and chairs.

October and March left everyone there to go report to the Emperor that they'd returned. June was left to watch over them, and they locked the door on their way out.

June plopped down on one of the sofa's and started playing with a lock of his hair, clearly bored.

April heard footsteps from where she sat in her room. She didn't go to July or August yet. Best not to come off too clingy.

She nodded hesitantly. "What kind of mistakes?"

"Just mistakes. That talk is so boooooring. Let's talk about you now! Where did you come from? Why are you here? What were you doing? How were my siblings when they were with you? Did they behave?"

"Hmm. I'm from a village by the coast, I'm here to protect my friends, and they behaved quite well. They were good friends."

She nodded, then realized he couldn't hear a nod. "Yeah."

The door opened, and he came inside. As he closed the door behind him she could see more then the normal amount of guards outside. He certainly wasn't 'roaming free.'

August had changed clothes and gotten cleaned up in the short time after arriving. He seemed so different now that he was back in expensive clothing and his hair was combed. Smaller, maybe.

"How are you?"
