Sythrin Posted August 12, 2024 Posted August 12, 2024 We know now that we get multible world books and canon adventures in the RPG. How much heavy lore will be there do you think will be revealed. Because I am bit bumped at how much the books cost and I am not sure if I am ready to pay for little lore. What interests me the most, is the new investiture mechanics that we learn there. Perhaps more abilities of different surges and similar? 1
Acolyte of Radiance Posted August 19, 2024 Posted August 19, 2024 Some.for the rpg there is a book about the shin that is canon. It depends, shin book wil probably be more heavy, others you don’t need to know:book 9 seems not that important .
StanLemon Posted August 19, 2024 Posted August 19, 2024 It looks like there will be a decent amount of lore. They've said that some things that haven't been present in the SA books will be in the RPG and the adventure that will be released with it will be a canon event that will be informative for background events of SA 2-5
Atlas333 Posted August 19, 2024 Posted August 19, 2024 I imagine it will get a lot of technical stuff that the characters of stormlight are aware of, but not the readers. This is things like: - Information on spren (more about radiant spren for orders we haven't seen much as well as every orders plate spren) - Outline of all oaths up to 4th level (I imagine this will be the most "spoiler-y" info we'll get) - Information on forms of power (Details about the few fused we haven't seen yet and maybe a couple of regal forms) We could get stuff on enlightened spren or the unmade but I'm not expecting too much. I just want to know more about the fish in the purelake
iceblade44 he/him Posted August 20, 2024 Posted August 20, 2024 I'd basically take anything in the World Guide and Adventure as proper lore, while the gameplay itself in the handbook probably has some compromises. Though should still be correct in broad strokes
